Great places to eat in Asheville!
Valley 1
on the road to Highwoods
Asheville has an aboundance of really great eateries. These are not in order of preference they are all great choices depending on what your looking for. You should call and check for reservations and directions. Dress for dining in Asheville is nice casual, jeans are always acceptable.

Looking for a great breakfast or late lunch place? Try the SUNNY POINT CAFE in west Asheville. They have great non-stop breakfast items and a whole lot more. You might want to try the Breakfast Burrito or Savory French Toast, I can personally recommend both. For lunch perhaps their Tuna Melt, different than most and delicious. If you go on a weekend expect to wait, but it is worth it! I understand they are now also open for dinner Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, but have not tried it myself yet for an evening meal.
625 Haywood Rd, tel - 252-0055.

ZAMBRAS - Tapas Bar and Restaurant is a Latin - Euro - Asheville - World Culture Experience. Great and unusual Tapas and Main Courses. Maybe the best wine list in town. You will have a really good and unusual time here.
85 E Walnut St., tel - 232-1060

MARKET PLACE - Possibly our finest and most elegant restaurant. Excellent meat and fish entree's. International cuisine. 20 Wall St., tel - 252-4162

STONY KNOB CAFE - You will love the food, a varied always changing menu of incredible foods, and the ambience is fantastic. Used to be an old diner, it was purchased by a guy from New York and totally redone. He runs a great show there, don't miss this one. The only thing is that it's about a 10-15 minute drive North from downtown. 337 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville tel - 645-3309
